ROUTE 110 REDEVELOPMENT CORPORATION HOLDS ANNUAL AWARDS LUNCHEON
Farmingdale, NY – The Route 110 Redevelopment Corporation recently held its Annual Awards Luncheon. Honorees included Supervisor Frank Petrone of Huntington, Supervisor Steve Bellone of Babylon, Pearl Kamer, Phd, Chief Economist for the Long Island Association and Ted Weiss, President of T. Weiss Realty. “What we have to do to make sure we remain competitive and we remain a first rate economy is to move toward even more technologically intensive jobs and industry so that we stay at the cutting edge,” remarked Dr. Kamer. The Route 110 Redevelopment Corporation is a unique effort to join together the public sector, the private sector and the civic sector to enhance the future development of the Route 110 Corridor on Long Island. The Corridor is home to nearly 20% of Suffolk County’s workforce and boasts premiere office space, fine hotels, educational institutions, research facilities, and an outstanding selection of family entertainment opportunities. The Route 110 Redevelopment Corp. is a Not-For-Profit organization designed to attract and retain environmentally friendly, High-tech and Biotech firms that generate stable jobs.
